On top of the normal stuff, we also signed off on the following upgrades (as I think I mentioned in a previous post):
- Tiling to alfresco (tiles + labour)
- Tiling to staircase storage (tiles + labour)
- Increased feature tiles to one whole wall for powder room, bathroom, ensuite (standard is one feature strip in showers)
- Floor to ceiling tiling to complete shower in bathroom, ensuite
I have a few photos from when we were taking a look at them, hope you can see them. I really enjoyed selecting tiles, it has probably been the most fun part so far and I can't wait to see how they look in our house!
Main Floor Tile: Glazed Porcelain "Stone White" next to Kitchen Cupboards "Avignon Walnut" and our Bristol wall colour "Satellite" |
Bathroom Feature Tile: This is my favourite! |
Bathroom Tiles: Normal wall tile against the feature. The bottom RHS is our floor tile. |
Feature Tile against the Bathroom Cabinet (Smokey Sapelle) and our paint colour |
External Floor Tile: Initially we chose Pewter, but have now changed to "Charcoal Grip" it shimmers in the sunlight |
Hope you like our choices too!

it is interesting, now in the Prestige range the bigger tiles are 450mm*450mm. :-/
ReplyDeleteDid you ask? They aren't on the stand displays, they were leaning against the window on a floor in the corner?
DeleteTo be honest, we didnt ask, basically because they show us the inclusions. Also, I have noticed than in your case an other building with wisdom a little bit ahead of us, that you have name for the colours, now, we only saw codes. also, paying attention to the other tiles, I havent seen them. We have been to Di Lorenzo twice, last time was saturday.
ReplyDeleteBut, we are happy with our selections so far, but i am realy curius person.
cheers :)
ps: our first appt is this friday :-D
ps2: this is my other account (same person)
Well we didn't realise they were included because she showed us all the ones on display, but I had a look at them and had to ask. In fact you can choose any tile as long as it's within the price range - what you should do is check the sheet they give you with labour costs - check to see if the cost to tile a 600x600 tile is $0 or not - if it's included, then ask which ones. Anyway there weren't many of them to choose from tbh, you might not like the colours!
DeleteWOW big moment on Friday, that's come up really quickly! Good luck, I think flooring was by far the hardest appointment, and electrical of course!!! Let me know how you go - take lots of pics with all your colours
PS we bought a little paint pot of the paint colour we wanted, and paint a big piece of cardboard to take with us which made it heaps easier to choose the carpet and tile colours :)
